ROSSYLN, VA – Robert Kenny, Deputy Associate Director for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs for the Selective Service System, released the following statement on an inappropriate repost on its official X site from November 6, 2024, that was reported in the news:

“On November 6, 2024, an inappropriate X post related to a mandatory draft was reposted on the Selective Service System’s X account.  Based on a thorough investigation, the Agency conclusively determined that the source of the repost was an Agency employee.  That employee has been terminated.  The Agency has also taken steps to prevent a similar situation from occurring in the future.
